Join our team as a Summer Playground Staff member and become a vital part of creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children! In this energetic role, you will lead outdoor activities, supervise play areas, and foster positive social interactions among kids. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure every child has an unforgettable summer filled with learning, laughter, and friendship. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in childcare, education, and leadership while making a meaningful impact in the community.

This is an 8 week program starting on June 15th. There will be a week of training the week before program starts. Hours will vary based on activities but typically will work Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.

Incoming High School Seniors, College students and/or graduates are encouraged to apply!

Duties

• Supervise children during outdoor play, organized activities, and free time to ensure safety and positive behavior management
• Lead engaging games, sports, arts and crafts, and other activities that promote childhood development and creativity
• Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any injuries or emergencies following safety protocols

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, babysitting, or childcare is a plus
• Passion for working with children and a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive environment
• Ability to engage children through energetic teaching methods and positive reinforcement
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to successfully obtain Criminal History, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Fingerprinting
• Any other trainings as assigned

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
