Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervising Psychiatrist to lead our mental health team, providing expert psychiatric care and clinical oversight across diverse patient populations. Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and mental health clinicians, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
- Oversee comprehensive patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy planning for individuals of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Lead the development and implementation of treatment plans utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and psychopharmacology.
- Coordinate inpatient and outpatient services across hospital settings and clinics, ensuring seamless continuity of care for patients with complex needs such as developmental disabilities or PTSD.
- Manage medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring timely data collection for quality assurance.
- Facilitate crisis management protocols, including intervention strategies for acute psychiatric episodes or behavioral health emergencies.
- Promote a patient-centered approach by conducting thorough patient care activities, including intake assessments, ongoing monitoring, and discharge planning.
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric practices and healthcare regulations to maintain high standards of service delivery.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry.
- Post-residency experience in behavioral health settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Proven expertise in pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, addiction counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and psychopharmacology principles.
- Experience with telehealth platforms to deliver remote psychiatric care effectively.
- Skilled in crisis management, mental health counseling, and trauma-informed care such as PTSD treatment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards under HIPAA, and electronic medical records systems.
- Excellent leadership abilities with demonstrated success supervising clinical teams and managing complex cases involving behavioral health challenges.
