Supervisor - Airside

Main Objectives

Pro-actively supervise on a shift basis, all airside aircraft loading activities of Bahrain Airport Services, ensuring a safe, compliant and both operationally and financially efficient service delivery.

Main Duties

o Ensure that safety is maintained across all operations by adhering to Bahrain Airport Services procedures, airline client requirements, and regulatory standards. Continuously assess company procedures for improvement and ensure full compliance with Bahrain Airport Authority Emergency orders when required. This ensures the safety of operations, compliance with legal standards, and the prevention of accidents or incidents.

o Oversee all aircraft loading activities by planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising operations to ensure safety and efficiency. Verify that all containerized and non-containerized loads are secured according to company and airline client regulations. Operate and manage all aircraft servicing equipment as required to ensure the safety of the aircraft, prevents load-related accidents, and ensures compliance with industry standards.

o Conduct regular staff briefings, with a minimum of one per shift, to ensure all team members fully understand their responsibilities and allocated duties. Provide specific job training as directed and verify that all staff are adequately trained. Additionally, attend and complete any required training courses to enhance personal and team capabilities.

o Maintain professionalism by ensuring that all staff strictly adhere to the company’s uniform and grooming standards at all times to promote professionalism, boost brand image, and maintain compliance with workplace policies.

o Accurately complete and submit comprehensive ramp reports to the respective sections, ensuring that all services provided are properly recorded for recharge purposes and future reference.

o Implement and manage the department's Performance Management System (PMS) for direct reports to evaluate and enhance staff performance effectively.

o Perform headset functions and any additional responsibilities required to support operations and ensure seamless service delivery.

o Comply with Company's and airport authorities’ health, safety & security requirements.

o Carries out other similar or related duties as directed by the management.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

o Minimum of Highschool Diploma followed by any courses related to aviation.

Experience:

o Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Airside Operations or in any aviation related job, preferably in ground handling services.

Other Essential Requirements:

o Must complete Aviation Operations related courses.

o Good Knowledge of written and spoken English.

o Bahraini driving licenses.
