Main Objectives
Coordinate and direct turnaround operations in compliance with local regulations and standard operating procedures, ensuring safety, efficiency, and on-time departures. The role involves managing disruptions, facilitating clear communication between teams and stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation in English using the 24-hour clock, and ensuring all aircraft are properly documented and DCS information is current prior to departure.
Main Duties
o Ensure all activities are in compliance with Bahrain Airport Services, customer airlines, and the regulators' procedures, ensuring the operations align with all legal, safety, and customer service standards required by the airport and regulatory bodies.
o Plan, monitor, control, and complete aircraft documentation for our airline customers for and on behalf of Bahrain Airport Services, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is accurately prepared and processed to meet the requirements of the airline and the airport.
o Ensure that all Flight messages LDM/CPM and UCM messages are sent in compliance with procedures and resolve any possible communication issues, requiring non-standard communication methods, coordinating aircraft turnaround, managing disruptions with stakeholders, and relaying load control information between the loading supervisor and load control office, ensuring smooth and accurate communication and the resolution of any issues that may arise during flight operations.
o Action any advisory messages regarding aircraft allocations, aircraft changes, and any special requirements without delay, operate the passenger boarding bridge (PBB) to embark or disembark passengers, and guide aircraft’s in and out movement, ensuring that flight operations are adjusted promptly to reflect any changes or special requests from airlines.
o Attend manual/system load sheet training as and when required and to undertake customer airline training as and when required, ensuring that the employee is always up-to-date with procedures and requirements for operational efficiency.
o Deliver excellent information distribution to all customers, both internal and external, using the communication channels available, ensuring a professional and efficient service delivery at all times, ensuring timely and accurate communication to all relevant parties.
o Provide the necessary aircraft legal paperwork for the relevant job function, ensuring that these are prepared in advance, ensuring compliance with legal and operational standards for each flight and avoiding delays or errors in documentation.
o Ensure that all the daily flights are set-up within the EDP weight & balance system and that the flights are created correctly, ensuring that the flight data is entered correctly into the system to guarantee the proper calculation of weight and balance, which is critical for flight safety.
o Comply with Company's and airport authorities’ health, safety & security requirements.
o Carries out other similar or related duties as directed by the management.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
o A minimum of a Diploma and/or IATA Diploma in Aviation Industry.
Experience:
o A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Airside Operations and/or a minimum of 3 years in any aviation related job experience preferably in ground handling services in a major airline.
Other Essential Requirements:
o Holding airline license for weight and balance.
o Holding airside driving license.
o Completed all training in line with the job requirement.
o Comprehensive knowledge in Operations and high customer service standards.
o Computer literacy.
o Communication skills.
o Analytical thinking.
o Attention to detail and quality.
o Networking.
o Good Knowledge of written and spoken English.
