Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Social Worker Supervisor in Case Management, you will provide leadership for social work staff ensuring quality and integrity of care delivered. The role will focus on discharge planning, employee retention/satisfaction, partnering with community agencies, self-pay/under-insured initiatives, re-admission initiatives and aligning the social work staff to adhere to TJC and CMS regulations. The position will entail acting as a working supervisor able to execute the job description of the social worker, as well as a leadership focus, which includes the following: supervises daily operations and activities of social work staff, under the direction of the manager and director, helps to create business plans for social work, participates in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, orientation, development and on-going evaluation/retention of social work staff, and promotes a supportive environment that encourages teamwork.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Master's Degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education
• Current licensure by the State of TX Board of Social Work examiners through the Texas Department of Health
• Recent working experience with assigned patient population desirable
• Hospital supervision experience preferred
• Three years post MSW experience preferred
• Advanced certification by approved accreditation board preferred
