Supervisor, Trade & Customs

As part of the Trade & Customs team, your job is to ensure that all import and export activities comply with applicable trade laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will play a key role in managing compliance risk, maintaining documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams across procurement, logistics, legal, and supply chain. Responsible to manage all trade and customs operations to ensure uniformity with all global import/export activities comply with applicable international trade laws, regulations, and internal policies with the guidance of the Global and Regional Trade and Customs Operations Managers

Our Team

Global supply chain, Center of Excellence team located in Bangalore. The Trade Compliance team is a critical part of our global supply chain and regulatory operations. We work closely with internal stakeholders-procurement, logistics, legal, operations-as well as external partners like customs brokers to ensure our company remains compliant with international trade regulations.

What You Will Do

• Effectively manage and drive the Trade & Customs team's initiatives, deliverables and business requirements.
• Manage Commodity Codes classification for Molex globally by assisting in reviewing, validating, transitioning and providing day to day support from India.
• Manage Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) for Molex globally by assisting in reviewing, validating, transitioning and providing day to day support from India.
• Manage Country of Origin Program by reviewing, identifying and alerting incorrect CoO to the impacted plants and Supply Chain Hubs globally.
• Ability to support and run the KPI metrics set up, extending support also the regional Trade & Customs leads.
• Conducts due diligence and provides merger/acquisition support, including trade compliance consulting in terms of Tariff Classification, DPL Screening, COO Analysis and ECCN.
• Provide Periodic Training to the India Trade and Customs Business Shared Services Team to effectively manage the day-to-day Trade and Customs Operational activities
• Effectively Manage Denied Party screening for all Molex Business Partners through SAP-GTS and on-time escalation to the concerned for the resolution

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 6+ years of experience in global electronics manufacturing organization, in-depth knowledge of Harmonized Tariff System (HTS), Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), Country of Origin (CoO) Management, USMCA (US, Mexico, Canada) FTA Management
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Ability to tie corporate strategic initiatives into trade compliance organization resulting in trade
• Good organization skills and the ability to work across different functions and divisions
• Exercises solid business judgment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a good listener
• High degree of integrity
• Very good SAP and Excel knowledge is required
• Work in US Time Zone (rotational shift)

What Will Put You Ahead

• Well versed in Team Management. Good Presentation, communication skills & cross-cultural traits. Detail Oriented, possessing good analytical skills; able to anticipate problems and diffuse situations.
• SAP-GTS knowledge is a plus
• Experience in US Customs Clearance
• Experience with HTS, ECCN, COO & USMCA is a plus
• Electrical and Electronic industry
