Supplier Quality Manager

Location of position: Allen, TX (preferred) or Torreon, MX

As our Supplier Quality Manager, you will lead and manage tribe SQM activities within your region, representing SQM in the category/tribe and driving the execution of SQM initiatives aligned with global and regional plans. You will also ensure supplier “Launch” readiness in PD/CR projects through risk management (FMEA) Critical-to-Quality (CtQ), and change management (KPPAP) while also coaching and developing SQM regional team members and providing operational leadership to suppliers to key KONE stakeholders. Lastly, you will conduct supplier audits according to the annual plan and manage the Quality Annex within the Supply and Purchasing Frame Agreement in close collaboration with the KONE contract owner.

You will bring 6+ years of progressive and successful experience in engineering, manufacturing, process and methods, supplier quality management, quality engineering, supply chain management, sourcing, or other relevant fields to KONE. You will need to have at minimum B.SC level technical STEM / quality / industrial Eng. Degree. 5 years of related experience can be in lieu of a degree.

  • Auditing of suppliers and Supplier performance management

  • ISO 9001/14001/18001/45001

  • Methods and tools related to (supplier) quality management such as quality control plans, Critical to Quality, Statistical Process Control, Failure-Mode-Effect Analysis, DMAIC Methodology, Six Sigma and Lean, Mistake proofing

  • Stakeholder and contract management skills

  • Prioritization, Execution, Collaboration, Result Focus and Problem-Solving Skills. Experience with new product introductions (NPIs)

  • In-depth knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning and TS16949 standard, methodology and tools (required).

  • Root cause corrective action and preventive action experience within a manufacturing setting (required)

Other Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of peers by sharing best practice, coaching and lesson learned.

  • Measures and reports Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Participates in supplier Scorecard process* and supports KONE contract owner in discussing results with supplier.

  • Team performance management.

Annual Base Pay Range:

The hiring range for this role is $126,600 – $166,215. The compensation package offered will depend on candidate’s ability to meet the requirements of the role, needs for the business strategy, and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.


Variable Compensation

KONE Annual Bonus plan at 15% Target Incentive (60/40) based on achievement of company goals and individual goals.
