Salary: $50 - 80K (DOE)

Position Summary

Our client, a Japanese company is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator. You will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement operations, stable delivery schedules, and effective communication with the parent company. This role requires hands-on experience in supplier negotiation, PO management, and issue resolution, as well as strong Japanese communication skills for HQ liaison.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and negotiate with suppliers and vendors regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and lead times
  • Monitor and control delivery schedules to ensure on-time procurement and stable supply
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve supply chain–related issues and operational problems
  • Serve as a key liaison with the parent company / headquarters, communicating in Japanese as required
  • Accompany suppliers for site visits, meetings, and business discussions as needed
  • Create, process, and manage purchase orders (PO), including related procurement operations and coordination
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth supply chain and procurement workflows

Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain coordination, procurement, or related operations
  • Hands-on experience with supplier/vendor negotiation and PO processing
  • Strong understanding of delivery schedule management and lead time control
  • Ability to handle troubleshooting and issue resolution in a fast-paced environment
  • Japanese fluency required
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial environments
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers or Japanese headquarters
  • Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems

Travel & Driving Requirements

  • Domestic U.S. travel several times per year (2–3 days per trip)
  • Business travel to Japan approximately twice per year
