Position Summary
  
  The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing the company’s end-to-end supply chain strategy across procurement, production planning, logistics, inventory, and distribution. This individual will lead a team of 20–30 professionals, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and alignment with overall business goals in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
 
  The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who thrives on driving continuous improvement, building strong supplier partnerships, and leveraging data to optimize performance across the supply chain.
 
   Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

   Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with company growth and production objectives.
  
- 
   Lead and mentor a cross-functional team across procurement, planning, logistics, and materials management.
  
- 
   Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    Procurement & Supplier Management
   
- 
   Oversee sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.

   Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners.
  
- 
   Manage supplier performance, risk mitigation, and compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  
- 
    Planning & Inventory Management
   
- 
   Direct demand forecasting, production scheduling, and inventory optimization to meet customer and plant requirements.
  
- 
   Implement best practices for material flow, warehouse management, and just-in-time (JIT) delivery.
  
- 
   Maintain appropriate inventory levels to balance cost, service, and flexibility.
  
- 
    Logistics & Distribution
   
- 
   Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of raw materials and finished goods.
  
- 
   Optimize freight, warehousing, and third-party logistics (3PL) performance.
  
- 
   Ensure compliance with all shipping, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  
- 
    Continuous Improvement
   
- 
   Identify and implement lean initiatives and process improvements throughout the supply chain.
  
- 
   Utilize data analytics and KPIs to drive performance and cost savings.
  
- 
   Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality to streamline production support.
  
   Qualifications
  
- 
   Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  
- 
   10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  
- 
   Proven success managing teams of 20+ employees across multiple functions.
  
- 
   Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  
- 
   Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel or data analysis tools.
  
- 
   Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
  
-
