Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Supply Chain Manager to support and optimize operations in our aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring material availability, production flow, and on-time delivery of high-priority aerospace components.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in ERP systems (JobBoss preferred), demand planning, and procurement within a machine shop or manufacturing setting. This position works closely with production, engineering, and leadership to improve efficiency, reduce delays, and support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities, including purchasing, vendor communication, and cost control
- Develop and execute material planning (MRP) and ensure timely availability of raw materials and components
- Utilize JobBoss ERP system to manage inventory, work orders, and purchasing processes
- Coordinate with production to align demand planning and production schedules
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, minimizing shortages and excess stock
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, including negotiation of pricing and lead times
- Support production priorities, including urgent and high-value aerospace jobs
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline supply chain operations
- Track and report on key metrics such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and supplier performance
- Ensure supply chain practices support quality and compliance standards within aerospace manufacturing
Qualifications
- 4+ years of supply chain, procurement, or production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP systems (JobBoss or similar required)
- Strong understanding of MRP, demand planning, and inventory control
- Experience working in a machine shop, aerospace, or metal manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and production schedules
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand production environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Strong familiarity with raw materials required, including the ability to accurately distinguish bar stock, tubing and sheet metal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing or AS9100 environment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Experience managing supplier performance and lead times
- Background in machining, fabrication, or metal components

Work Environment
This is an on-site role in a working manufacturing facility. The position requires regular interaction with production teams, shop floor personnel, and leadership.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
