How You Will Support the Company:

The Supply Chain Manager leads Viably’s end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, warehouse management, and logistics. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective delivery of parts and equipment to customers while optimizing inventory, improving efficiency, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The Supply Chain Manager sets strategy, standardizes processes, develops the team, and drives measurable performance improvement within Acumatica and related systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

Procurement & Vendor Management

· Manage purchasing for parts, consumables, and equipment across OEM and third‑party vendors; ensure on‑time, complete, and cost‑effective supply.

· Oversee pricing negotiations with vendors to minimize costs; steward multi‑year agreements where appropriate.

· Establish a purchasing process and approval thresholds across all departments, and manage all open purchase orders within our ERP.

· Oversee Procurement Coordinator workload, policy compliance, and training; approve purchase orders above threshold.

· Ensure drop‑ship PO creation and vendor coordination align with customer requirements and company policies.

Inventory Management

· Oversee daily reconciliations, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory; resolve variances through root‑cause analysis.

· Monitor open POs/SOs for past‑due and backorders; coordinate allocations and expedites for machine‑down situations.

· Analyze demand, fill rate, turns, aging/obsolete; implement actions to reduce excess and improve service levels.

· Consistently improve customer service by reducing lead times, improving parts availability, and increasing fill rates.

· Manage the process for inventory held on consignment and third-party locations across the US and Canada.

· Oversee the parts return process (reverse logistics), including inspection, ERP updates, vendor RMAs, and timely credit or replacement.

Warehouse Operations

· Supervise Shipping & Receiving team for safe, efficient receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, and shipment of parts.

· Ensure accurate bin locations, labeling, and transactions; implement and maintain 5S standards and optimize warehouse layout.

· Oversee generation of domestic/international shipping documents for parts (in coordination with Logistics).

Logistics Operations

· Own domestic and international logistics for parts and equipment (inbound and outbound).

· Manage customs compliance, including classification (HTS), valuation, documentation, and brokerage; ensure timely entries and clearance.

· Select and negotiate terms and pricing with carriers and freight forwarders; monitor performance, rates, and service levels.

· Oversee the Logistics Coordinator’s daily activities, ensuring timely coordination of domestic and international shipments, accurate software updates, and compliance with customs requirements.

· Guide complex logistics tasks, including equipment loading/unloading, machine movement scheduling, and customs or carrier delays resolution.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

· Lead, coach, and develop the Supply Chain team (Logistics, Procurement, Warehouse); set goals and conduct performance reviews.

· Assist in developing forecast and demand planning with Sales and Finance to align inventory with revenue and margin goals.

· Identify supply risk (supplier, freight, regulatory) and implement contingency plans and dual‑sourcing where appropriate.

· Develop and own the supply chain KPI dashboards; perform root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for variances.

· Champion ERP (Acumatica) and process optimization, automation, and data quality improvements.

· Execute Lean/Six Sigma projects to reduce waste, cycle time, and cost; complete EOS Rocks and participate in L10 meetings.

· Ensure compliance with trade regulations, safety, and environmental standards; support sustainability initiatives (packaging, routing, inventory).

Required education and experience

· 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or procurement (industrial distribution/heavy equipment preferred).

· Demonstrated leadership of multi‑disciplinary supply chain teams.

· ERP proficiency required (Acumatica strongly preferred); advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

· Knowledge of international logistics, customs compliance, and HTS classification; familiarity with Incoterms.

· Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost‑reduction track record.

· Lean/Six Sigma/CI experience preferred.

Work environment / physical demands

This role operates in both office and warehouse environments. It requires regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Forklift‑accessible areas and moving mechanical parts may be present; appropriate PPE and safety protocols are required.

Travel required

Full‑time, exempt, in our Denver office, 5 days a week. Typical hours Monday–Friday; additional hours as needed. Occasional travel (5–10%) to suppliers, dealers, and warehouses, domestic and international.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
