Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the Supply Planning, Warehouse, and Production Material Requisition (PMR/PPR) functions to ensure uninterrupted material flow, timely production, and reliable delivery performance.
The role focuses on achieving On Time In Full (OTIF) targets, optimizing inventory days and values, and ensuring close coordination between Production, Quality, and Commercial teams while maintaining compliance with GMP, GDP, and HSE standards.
1. Supply Planning

Develop, implement, and maintain the Master Supply Plan based on demand forecasts, production capacity, and material availability.

Ensure high OTIF performance through proactive coordination with Production, Procurement, and Quality to prevent shortages or delays.

Follow up on material release (raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods) with Quality Control and Quality Assurance to avoid any production or dispatch delays.

Monitor and control inventory days and inventory values, maintaining an optimal balance between availability, working capital, and expiry management.

Analyze supply performance, identify risks, and initiate corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure all planning activities comply with GMP and internal quality procedures.
2. Delivery Plan Management
-
Prepare and update the Delivery Plan on a daily basis in alignment with the Production Plan and Quality release feedback.

Ensure continuous communication with the Quality and Commercial teams to provide accurate visibility on product availability and release dates.

Treat the Delivery Plan as a formal commitment to the Commercial team, ensuring that agreed delivery timelines are met.

Identify potential risks to delivery schedules and take immediate corrective actions in coordination with all relevant departments.

Maintain a daily tracking system for deliveries to ensure transparency and accountability.
3. Warehouse Management

Oversee warehouse operations related to:
-
Receiving materials from suppliers and verifying documentation accuracy.
-
Storing raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods under defined environmental conditions.

Dispensing materials to Production according to approved PMR and PPR.
-
Receiving finished goods from Production and transferring them to dispatch or quarantine areas.
-
Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and HSE standards.

Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
-
Ensure proper handling of cold chain and temperature-sensitive materials.
-
Optimize warehouse layout, capacity, and processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
-
Lead initiatives to continuously improve warehouse performance and automation.
4. Production Material & Packaging Requisition (PMR / PPR) Management
-
Manage the issuance of PMR and PPR in accordance with approved production and supply plans.
-
Coordinate closely with Production, QA, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate material availability for manufacturing.

Track issuance versus consumption to ensure accountability and reduce variance.
-
Ensure all PMR/PPR documentation complies with GMP and company SOPs.

Continuously enhance the PMR/PPR process to minimize production downtime.
-
Provide visibility to Production on material readiness and release timelines.
5. KPI Monitoring & Performance Management

Define, monitor, and report key Supply Chain KPIs, including:

OTIF (On Time In Full) – delivery reliability.

Inventory Days – stock efficiency and turnover.
-
Inventory Value – working capital optimization.
-
Material Release Lead Time – Quality responsiveness.
-
PMR/PPR Issuance Compliance – timeliness and completeness.
-
Delivery Plan Adherence – fulfillment of commitments to the Commercial team.

Warehouse Accuracy and Efficiency – space utilization and productivity.
-
Conduct root cause analyses for deviations and implement corrective measures.
-
Present regular performance reports and improvement plans to management.
6. Leadership & Team Development
-
Lead and develop the teams within Supply Planning, Warehouse, and PMR/PPR functions.
-
Define clear objectives and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Coach and mentor team members to build technical and managerial capabilities.
-
Ensure adherence to GMP, GDP, and HSE standards across all functions.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

APICS certifications (CSCP, CLTD, or CPIM) are highly desirable.

Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Proven expertise in supply planning, warehouse operations, and production material coordination within the pharmaceutical industry.

Strong proficiency in ERP/SAP systems and data analysis tools.
