Supply Chain Manager

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing the end-to-end procurement and supplier engagement framework during the early growth phase of the organization. The role will focus primarily on vendor sourcing, commercial negotiations, quality compliance, and material readiness, with a future scope to scale into inventory management, logistics, and warehousing as procurement volumes increase.

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Procurement & Supplier Management

• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers/vendors for raw materials, components, and finished goods as per business requirements and budgets allocation by team.
• Engage with suppliers to understand commercials, pricing structures, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms.
• Conduct supplier benchmarking and cost analysis to ensure competitive procurement.

2. Quality & Specification Compliance

• Ensure all procured materials meet defined quality standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation, certifications, and test reports from suppliers.

3. Supplier Coordination & Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers for order coordination, clarifications, and issue resolution.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, timelines, and responsiveness.

4. Process Setup & Documentation

• Establish procurement processes, SOPs, and approval workflows suitable for an early-stage organization.
• Maintain procurement documentation including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier records.
• Implement basic tracking mechanisms for orders, deliveries, and supplier performance.

5. Cost Control & Commercial Analysis

• Track procurement spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvement.
• Analyze cost drivers such as freight, duties, taxes, and vendor pricing structures.
• Support budgeting and cost forecasting related to procurement activities.
