Supply Chain Manager – Oil & Gas


Position Title: Supply Chain Manager

Department: Supply Chain Management

Reports To: Head – Supply Chain / GM – Country Manager

Location: Navi Mumbai


Role Summary:


The Supply Chain Manager will oversee end-to-end material planning, procurement coordination, logistics integration, and vendor management for Oil & Gas operations. The role ensures timely, compliant, and cost-efficient supply of critical equipment and materials to project sites — domestic and international.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan, implement, and monitor the overall supply chain strategy aligned with project and corporate goals.
  • Coordinate across Procurement, Projects, and Logistics to ensure seamless material movement from supplier to site.
  • Oversee import/export documentation, EC compliance, and DGFT procedures for material clearance.
  • Manage vendor selection, performance evaluation, and contract negotiation for materials, freight, and warehousing.
  • Forecast material requirements, track consumption, and optimize inventory turnover at project sites.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through freight consolidation, alternative sourcing, and vendor benchmarking.
  • Implement and maintain ERP/SAP-based supply chain systems for transparency and reporting accuracy.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities (Customs, DG Shipping, Port, Excise) to ensure legal compliance.
  • Prepare monthly SCM performance reports (OTIF, Cost KPIs, Lead Times).
  • Lead and mentor the SCM team; foster cross-functional collaboration between logistics, procurement, and project control teams.


Qualification & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce (MBA preferred).
  • 8–15 years of experience in Oil & Gas / EPC Supply Chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, DGFT, EC compliance, and ODC cargo movement.
  • Proficiency in SAP MM/SCM modules and advanced Excel reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
