Job Description
Role overview
A key role ensuring the flow of information and material across the network, including coordination with carriers, documentation, customs clearance, and internal stakeholders. This includes optimally planning material to support plant production following the philosophy of Demand-Driven Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Actions include supporting material/product transitions, optimizing network material inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and facilitating monthly plant-level Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead supply chain inventory processes, system settings, and achieving inventory targets for designated plants.

Influence plant leadership on best practices for inventory management.
-
Manage daily and weekly activities with suppliers and plants to optimize overall performance while providing excellent service to Greif’s customers.

Analyze inventory parameters and facilitate discussions of inventory practices and opportunities for improvement.
-
Facilitate plant Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning meetings, including review of plant metrics (KPIs) to achieve defined targets.
-
Monitor supplier performance and proactively escalate any concerns to the Supply Chain Planning Manager and Category Sourcing Managers.

If supply shortage occurs, manage allocation of inventory across network of plants. Initiate meetings to make recommendations and evaluate options for continued supply.

As Subject Matter Expert, mature the processes and technology for Demand Driven MRP.

Issue Direct materials purchase orders to suppliers and manage all purchase orders lifecycle (issue, acknowledgement, open qty, backlog, rescheduling planned receipt date if needed).

In times of supplier or part change, define inventory buffers and lead transition of components.

Coordinate timing of incoming components, and communicates any expected shortfalls to plants for potential need for expediting.

Collaborate with suppliers for projected material demand.

Escalate any supply chain planning related issue for awareness and action to leadership and SIOP
-
Partner with colleagues across site to improve inventory control and standard practices
-
Master Data management related to the planning of materials such as supplier lead time, MinOQs, Order Increment. Review master data accuracy and maintain accordingly in the ERP system.

Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to ensure timely delivery.

Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
-
Maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
-
Collaborate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to align production priorities.
-
Ensure compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Operations.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience of Supply Chain and Inventory Management experience required.
-
Knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and Incoterms.
-
Familiarity with ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
-
Excellent communication skills in English.
-
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with international shipping and customs clearance.

Possesses a solid understanding of plant manufacturing operations.

Experience with demand-driven planning.
-
Affinity with large data sets and Microsoft PowerBI.

Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management concepts., and ability to apply into practice.

Solid systems background and analytical skills.

Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team and to work effectively independently.

Possesses strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem solving skills.

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and strong negotiation skills.

Possesses excellent time management, planning, and prioritization skills.

Cross-cultural experience a plus.
