Job Purpose

To execute assigned capex projects & other infrastructure projects and maintenance with safety and coordination with other departments. Schedule, plan, forecast, resources and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Civil / Mechanical staff is responsible for the site supervision, execution, analysis and construction of civil/ mechanical STEEL structure of projects/ maintenance. This includes various structural work along with civil foundations & maintenance and other infrastructure.

Smooth and trouble free execution of projects / maintenance work. Comply HIL safety standard at project/ maintenance sites.

Finalization of technical specifications of Civil Construction/ steel Structural work

Understand Civil / steel structural Engineering requirements.

Develop specifications for these work with detailed engineering consultants to develop Civil/ structure drawings.

Preparation of BOQ

Once the specifications made develop the BoQ for civil construction / steel Structural work

Evaluation and approval of foundation drawings/ Steel structural drawings

Evaluate the foundation drawings made and approve the same.

Monitor and authorize changes to this drawing.

Understanding of Steel structural drawings i.e. fabrication/ erection etc.

Ensure safety practices are implemented at site.

SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives

Aid the safety team in preparing safety guidelines for the project site.

Implement SOP and safety protocol for each activity that needs to be carried out.

Ensure that project personnel are trained and would follow the safety guidelines issued to them.

Audit the activity done by the project execution teams.

Enforce the safety system.

Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event.

Monitor the activities done construction teams for timely completion of the project.

Coordinate the activities of different construction groups so as to meet the overall time and cost target.

Ensuring that the standards / specifications fixed by the Design team in adhered during the construction

Audit the process done to ensure that the standards and specification is to be adhered all times during the construction

Generate all plant drawings in the process

Generate and record all plant related drawings and create a system for its easy storage and retrieval.

Cost control

Monitoring quality of work during execution and commissioning within optimised cost

Timely ordering and delivery of the material/ Equipment.

Timely completion of capex by daily Monitoring daily progress.

Avoid Rework by proper planning.

Use of Surplus Inventory and Use of Scrap.

Checking of Civil drawings / steel structural drawings with respect to Mechanical GA.

Preparation of alignment, welding, erection, assembly, fabrication etc. protocols at the time of execution.
