The jobs in this level are responsible for directing the logistics function to ensure the uninterrupted supply at optimum cost and the improvement of the long term relationships with key logistics partners to improve the quality, price and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the formulation and implementation of the Warehousing & Logistics department plans to ensure the alignment with Dallah's overall objectives and business plans.
- Participates in the development of Warehousing & Logistics department policies, and procedures and ensures implementation of all relevant procedural/legislative requirements.
- Manages the day to day operations of Warehousing & Logistics department by facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Supervises the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the Warehousing & Logistics unit activity is carried out in an efficient manner.
- Prepares the Warehousing & Logistics unit budget and ensures that the activities within this unit is implemented processed as per the assigned budget.
- Manages the effective achievement of department objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize subordinate's performance.
- Acts as source of specialist management to teams of logistics officers on critical items to complete operational and planning tasks and allocates activities cost effectively.
- Develops and maintains long term relationships with logistics partners.
- Examines and approved major contracts.
- Implements improvements to existing methods of logistics to ensure best practice is introduced to the function.
Qualifications Education
- Bachelor degree in Management or Engineering
Experience
- 7-10 years of related experience in relevant field; 3 years of which in managerial position
