Surgery Scheduler/Precertification Coordinator - MMG SURGERY

Under the supervision of the Office Supervisor, responsible for obtaining insurance Precertification/verification and billing information on inpatient and outpatient account. Responsible for transcribing pertinent data through the accounts receivable system. Must demonstrate good relations with the public and co-workers. Must be able to work with limited supervision, coordinates with other personnel and serves as a back-up for registration and pre-admissions.

Prefer familiarity with medical terminology.

Prefer two years experience in the clerical and public relations field.

One year computer and typing experience preferred.

High school diploma with major courses of study in typing, filing, office methods, and computer skills preferred.
