Responsibilities
Recruitment and Training

Train Field Associates and Assistants on survey content and field protocols.

Oversee and monitor the training process for survey content and field protocols.
-
Maintain a database of surveyors and other relevant data collection contacts and resources.
Workflow Management
-
Design, pilot test, and conduct survey or administrative data collection exercises in collaboration with the project team.
-
Review digital survey tools and incorporate constraints to validate logical checks.
-
Manage and troubleshoot immediate concerns of stakeholders regarding project execution.

Implement real-time survey progress trackers using Google Sheets, Microsoft Power BI, or other analytics tools.

Execute technical processes involving geographical data before, during, and after fieldwork.
Financial Management

Assist the team in creating budgets for survey projects.

Manage budgets, including tracking all expenses to ensure costs remain within project funds, in collaboration with the Survey Lead.

Develop processes for preparing monthly salary sheets for field staff.
Data Quality and Assurance

Organize, implement, and create processes for piloting, high-frequency checks, back-checks, and spot checks.

Create processes for cleaning errors stemming from data entry or poor source material.
-
Coordinate data-related questions or concerns with project teams and stakeholders.

Design survey strategies, train surveyors, and monitor surveys through field spot checks, back-checks, and high-frequency checks.

Ensure all data quality protocols are followed, including auditing enumerators and performing daily checks of incoming data, with iterative corrections to ensure the highest data quality.
Entry Requirements
Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Economics or other Social Sciences.
Experience
-
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

Experience managing and training large teams.
-
Proven ability to create workflows and processes for large-scale projects.

Experience in budgeting and cash flow management.
-
Ability to resolve on-ground challenges with large teams.
Technical Skills
-
Expertise in working with geographical data using
ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Maps, and Google Earth
.

Working knowledge of the
QField app
.

Experience with data collection software (e.g.,
SurveyCTO, ODK
) for mapping and geographical data exercises.

Basic understanding of
STATA, R, or Python
.

Familiarity with analytic tools such as
Microsoft Power BI
and
Google Analytics
.

Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
(Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Proficiency in
Google Workspace
(Sheets, Docs, Slides).
