Surveyor - Roads Projects

Job Summary

Euro Group for Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Surveyor to join our civil engineering team in Jeddah. The successful candidate will support road and bridge surveying activities, perform field measurements, prepare survey deliverables, and collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure accurate site data and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys for road and bridge projects using conventional and electronic surveying instruments.
• Establish and verify control networks, benchmarks, and reference points.
• Collect, record, and validate topographic, alignment, and as-built data.
• Prepare survey plans, profiles, cross-sections, and quantity take-offs.
• Process field data using surveying software and produce accurate digital deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to resolve surveying issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures on site.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment and manage field documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must satisfy one of the following qualification pathways:

• Pathway A — Entry Level Surveyor Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering; no prior professional experience required.
• Pathway B — Experienced Surveyor Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering or an equivalent qualification, plus a minimum of two years’ hands‑on experience in road and bridge surveying.
• Pathway C — Technical Surveyor Diploma or specialized certification in Surveying, with no prior professional experience required in road surveying.

Additional expectations: Candidates should demonstrate a solid grasp of surveying fundamentals and the ability to apply academic training to fieldwork and project deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency with total stations, GNSS/GPS, levels, and data collectors.
• Experience with surveying and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office).
• Strong understanding of surveying principles, geodetic control, and construction staking.
• Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied site conditions and travel to project locations within Jeddah region.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
