Koç University’s Office of Sustainability (KUOS) is seeking a Sustainability Senior Specialist to lead and coordinate strategic sustainability initiatives. KUOS works to embed sustainability into research, education, operations, and institutional culture. The (Senior) Specialist will play a key role in program development, inter-office coordination, performance tracking, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage flagship KUOS programs and long-term sustainability projects.

• Coordinate sustainability-focused educational and training initiatives across academic and administrative units.

• Oversee data collection, performance monitoring, and preparation of institutional sustainability reports.

• Support the implementation and tracking of university-wide sustainability and gender equality commitments.

• Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and visibility.

• Develop communication tools such as newsletters, reports, and digital content to promote KUOS initiatives.

• Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and funding proposals for sustainability projects.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in sustainability, engineering, social sciences, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, sustainability, or higher education administration.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with sustainability data and reporting frameworks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with diverse stakeholders.

• Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in following scientific and technological developments in sustainability.

• Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
