Sustainability Specialist / Senior Specialist

Türk Telekom, the leading telecommunication operator in Turkey, is looking to add a Sustainability Assistant Specialist / Specialist to its Investor Relations and Sustainability Team

Investor Relations and Sustainability Directorate is managing overall coordination and reporting of sustainability at Türk Telekom. We report our sustainability performance on a regular basis with Annual & Sustainability Reports. Türk Telekom participates in various sustainability indices and platforms, striving to elevate our company's position in this field. As Investor Relations and Sustainability team, we will continue our sustainability focus by placing ourselves among the leading and exemplary companies in this field, like we do in many other areas we operate in.

Investor Relations - Sustainability Assistant Specialist / Specialist

Job description

• Taking an active role in Türk Telekom Group Sustainability Program
• Leading sustainability data collection and aggregation process from different departments to support the preparation of Integrated Annual Report, Corporate Governance & Compliance Report, and similar reports
• Carrying out the necessary preparations to comply with sustainability and ESG indices’ requirements, and to adhere to international reporting frameworks
• Working with related parties around ESG and sustainability issues such as index compilers, ratings agencies, consultants, financial institutions, domestic and international authorities and subject matter experts
• Ensuring compliance with the Capital Market Regulations around sustainability
• Updating and improving the sustainability and corporate governance sections of the Company’s website
• Keeping up with the global and local trends in ESG and sustainability
• Working closely with related parties and monitoring the progress of sustainability projects
• Working to integrate the Company’s sustainability initiatives to Investor Relations Program
• Developing effective stakeholder communication around Company’s progress on its Sustainability Program
• Supporting investor relations and corporate governance & compliance activities within Türk Telekom IR & Sustainability

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Engineering, Environmental Science . Master degree in Sustainability related topics would be a plus
• Min 2 years of experience in sustainability, ESG or impact investing. Corporate Governance & Compliance and investor relations experience would be a plus
• Proven knowledge in integrated reporting, sustainability indices, value creation and impact assessment and experience in relevant reporting standards and frameworks
• Knowledge of related carbon footprint measurement, GHG emission calculation processes and ISO systems
• Knowledge of national and international laws and regulations related to sustainability would be a plus
• Attention to detail, strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills and experience in coordination of multi-stakeholder processes
• Analytical skills necessary to evaluate data, assess feasibility, and develop project ideas, as well as skills necessary to translate strategies and concepts into concrete practice
• Ability to multi-task and work with cross functional teams
• High commitment to corporate values, integrity and ethical conduct
• Excellent command of written and verbal English
• Mastery of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) programs
