SVP, Capital Markets - Analytics & Finance

Position Summary

This position is an experienced SVP, Capital Markets Analytics & Finance, responsible for leading financial analytics, reporting, and performance optimization across the Secondary Marketing platform.

This leader will serve as the primary analytics and finance partner to the Head of Secondary Marketing, and a key liaison to Finance and executive stakeholders. The role is responsible for building a best-in-class analytics and reporting function that delivers forward-looking insights, enhances financial visibility, and drives capital markets performance.

This position will focus on developing advanced modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis capabilities across pipeline, MSR, hedge performance, and margin strategy.

This individual will play a critical role in supporting corporate objectives by delivering transparent, data-driven insights into profitability, capital utilization, and risk exposure - enabling faster, more informed decision-making in dynamic interest rate environments while maintaining strong financial discipline.

Compensation

This role is an exempt position with a targeted salary range of $198,455.00 to $297,682.00.

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain forward-looking analytics and forecasting models across Secondary Marketing
  • Lead pipeline analytics including fallout modeling, pull-through behavior, and gain-on-sale margin dynamics
  • Perform scenario analysis and stress testing across multiple interest rate environments
  • Analyze margin drivers including product mix, execution strategy, and competitive positioning
  • Monitor and report on MSR valuation analytics including duration, convexity, and portfolio runoff modeling
  • Evaluate hedge performance, including hedge effectiveness, cost of carry, and capital usage
  • Monitor and model interest rate risk exposure across the pipeline and servicing portfolio
  • Support servicing strategy through retain vs. release modeling, servicing strip optimization, and recapture rate analytics
  • Drive optimization initiatives across warehouse (W/H) turn times, execution strategies, and capital deployment
  • Provide competitive margin intelligence and market benchmarking to inform pricing strategy
  • Analyze gain-on-sale compression and identify opportunities to improve profitability
  • Identify cost-per-loan improvement levers and operational efficiency opportunities
  • Evaluate execution optimization strategies and cost of carry dynamics
  • Own analytical frameworks that drive execution optimization, capital efficiency, and profitability across the Secondary platform
  • Translate analytics into actionable recommendations that directly improve profitability, execution performance, and capital efficiency.
  • Own Secondary Marketing reporting, including production-facing branch and region reporting, product analytics and executive dashboards
  • Partner closely with Finance and FP&A to align capital markets analytics with enterprise financial reporting, including support for unrealized P&L, product mix analysis, margin strategy and financial statements.
  • Lead Secondary Marketing budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight processes
  • Develop KPI frameworks that provide transparency into key performance and risk drivers
  • Build scalable reporting infrastructure and improve data integrity across systems
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, and Data teams to enhance reporting automation and analytics capabilities
  • Support reporting and analytics required by private equity stakeholders
  • Provide transparency into capital markets performance, risk exposure, and profitability drivers
  • Develop analytics to support strategic initiatives, capital allocation related to execution strategy, and long-term planning
  • Translate complex capital markets dynamics into clear, investor-ready insights on earnings, volatility, and capital deployment
  • Create standardized reporting across Product, Credit Risk and Secondary Marketing areas
  • Build and lead a high-performing capital markets analytics and reporting team
  • Establish best practices for analytics, forecasting, and reporting within Secondary Marketing
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related required
  • Masters Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in Secondary Marketing, Capital Markets, or mortgage banking analytics roles.
  • Minimum five years supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage banking economics including pipeline management, capital markets execution, hedging strategies, and MSR valuation.
  • Deep knowledge of interest rate risk management, servicing economics, and secondary market dynamics.
  • Clear understanding of how Secondary Marketing impacts financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with pipeline modeling, MSR analytics, and hedge performance evaluation.
  • Strong experience in executive reporting and translating analytics into actionable insights.
  • Experience working with capital markets and hedging systems (including QRM or similar platforms)
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, data warehouse environments, and reporting automation

Requirements
