The Office Sweeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the office premises. This role involves sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disposing of waste to ensure a hygienic and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweeping and mopping floors regularly to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
- Emptying trash bins and disposing of waste in designated areas.
- Dusting and wiping surfaces such as desks, tables, chairs, and shelves.
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and glass partitions to maintain cleanliness and transparency.
- Sanitizing restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and countertops, and restocking supplies such as soap and toilet paper.
- Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies to ensure availability for daily tasks.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.
- Adhering to safety protocols and using protective equipment as required.
- Assisting with special cleaning tasks or projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
