PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:

The Swiss CNC setup machinist is responsible for the setup and operation of our Citizen Swiss turning centers. We primarily run short- to medium-run production lots, so this role involves frequent setups, troubleshooting, and maintaining process stability. This is a 2nd-shift position with a 10% shift premium.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

· Setup of machine and bar feeder using tooling sheets

· Produce 1st piece for approval

· Inspect parts to detect out-of-tolerance conditions during production

· Monitor the need to change/index tooling or adjust feeds/speeds

· Troubleshoot machining or quality issues as they arise

· All other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· CNC machining experience required (lathe or mill acceptable)

· Ability to read blueprints and use common measuring tools

· Knowledge of G and M codes

· Ability to perform minor edits to programs

· Experience using PartMaker a plus

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered

EXPERIENCE: Swiss machining experience preferred but not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Work location is in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Pay: $27.50 - $38.50 per hour
