System Administrator/Datacenter Operations

About the Role:

We are offering an entry-level opportunity for recent graduates who are looking for hands-on experience in IT systems, network maintenance, and cybersecurity operations. In this role, you will oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of critical data center systems, supporting a broad range of enterprise applications and services. If you have a degree in Cybersecurity or IT Infrastructure and are struggling to find opportunities due to “lack of experience,” this is the perfect role for you!

As a Datacenter Operations/System Administrator, you will:

• Work in local/remote on-site datacenter facilities.
• Gain real-world experience in enterprise-grade datacenter operations, learning and contributing directly to system and network performance.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage local datacenter operations, ensuring high availability and reliability of infrastructure systems.
• Perform basic system administration tasks: hardware checks, server reboots, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain system architecture solutions utilizing cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
• Work on security patching, firewall management, and backup/recovery processes.
• Document procedures and report issues to senior engineers as needed.
• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to maintain compliance and data protection standards.
• Provide proactive maintenance for physical and virtual servers.
• Respond to system alerts and escalate issues appropriately.

Required Qualifications:

• Recent graduate with a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows Server environments (basic understanding is sufficient).
• Strong foundational knowledge of networking, security principles, and system administration.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional IT environment.
• Ability to work after-hours in a local datacenter setting.

Preferred Skills (not mandatory):

• Basic scripting experience (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
• Exposure to virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud platforms.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
