Responsibilities

The System Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing technology solutions, and improving system performance to support organizational goals. The role bridges the gap between business needs and IT capabilities, ensuring system functionality, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Business & System Analysis

  • Analyze business processes, workflows, and user requirements to design effective IT solutions.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost–benefit analyses, and system impact assessments.

System Design & Development Support

  • Create system models, diagrams, and documentation including Use Cases, ERDs, and workflow charts.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and technical teams during solution design and implementation.
  • Validate system functionality through testing (UAT, SIT) and ensure all requirements are met.

System Implementation & Maintenance

  • Support software deployment, configuration, and integration activities.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, monitor performance, and coordinate corrective actions with technical teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation, user manuals, and process flows.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between business units, IT, vendors, and project teams.
  • Conduct user training sessions and provide post-implementation support.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational policies, security requirements, and IT governance.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and automation.
  • Recommend new technologies and enhancements to improve productivity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in system analysis.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience as a System Analyst or similar IT role.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, HRMS, or custom applications (as applicable).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL), integration concepts (APIs), and basic system architecture.
  • Ability to create process diagrams using tools like Visio, Draw.io, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
