About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking
Systems Engineer â Landing Gear
to join our Engineering & Technology team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, integration, and validation of landing gear systems for advanced unmanned and aerospace platforms.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure landing gear systems meet stringent operational, performance, and airworthiness requirements, contributing to cutting-edge aerospace and defense programs.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of landing gear systems, including actuation, retraction, steering, and damping mechanisms

Define, manage, and validate system requirements aligned with mission objectives and regulatory compliance

Collaborate with structures, avionics, flight controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration

Perform stress, load, and fatigue analysis using simulation tools to ensure structural integrity and reliability
-
Prepare and execute verification and validation plans, including ground and flight test activities
-
Ensure compliance with applicable airworthiness and regulatory standards (EASA, GCAA, MIL-STD)

Provide technical oversight and support supplier engagement for landing gear components and assemblies

Maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, configuration control, and change requests
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelorâs degree in
Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering
(Masterâs degree preferred)

Minimum
5 years of experience
in aerospace landing gear system design, development, and integration

Strong background in
system-level engineering
and aircraft subsystem integration

Experience working within
regulated environments
, preferably involving UAV, military, or aerospace platforms
Preferred Qualifications:

INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification
-
Chartered Engineer status
-
Familiarity with GCAA and/or EASA certification frameworks
Technical Tools & Standards

CAD tools:
CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX

Simulation & Analysis:
ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent FEA tools

Systems Engineering Tools:
DOORS, Polarion, or similar

Standards & Guidelines:
ARP4754A, DO-160, MIL-STD-810
