The Systems Assurance Manager provides senior technical leadership throughout the design and delivery of rail station systems, ensuring compliance with safety, performance, reliability, and quality standards. With over 15 years of experience in RAMS, systems assurance, design integration, and safety governance, the role drives requirements definition, EMC compliance, and HAZOP facilitation to achieve safe, integrated, and efficient station systems.
- Lead requirements definition and maintain full traceability from concept to commissioning using systems engineering tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, ReqView, Jama).
- Develop and oversee the Systems Assurance Plan in line with RAMS and safety standards (EN 50126/8/9, IEC 61508) and regulatory requirements.
- Manage assurance activities across Civil, MEP, and Technology disciplines to ensure integration, reliability, and compliance.
- Oversee Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) assurance and risk assessments in compliance with EN 50121 standards.
- Facilitate HAZOP and HAZID workshops, maintain hazard logs, and monitor closure of identified risks.
- Lead Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, including FAT, SAT, and SIT, ensuring system readiness and performance compliance.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and operators to align system interfaces and assurance documentation.
- Maintain and manage assurance deliverables including Assurance Registers, V&V Matrices, and EMC Reports.
- Oversee risk and change management processes to support safe and compliant project delivery.
- Present assurance progress, compliance metrics, and residual risks to project leadership and clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in systems assurance, RAMS, and design integration within the rail or infrastructure sector.
- Proven knowledge of RAMS standards (EN 50126/8/9, IEC 61508) and EMC compliance (EN 50121).
- Experience facilitating HAZOP/HAZID sessions and managing safety certification processes.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering tools (IBM DOORS, ReqView, Jama).
Excellent coordination, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
