Do you enjoy solving complex challenges while collaborating with professionals across an entire state?We’re looking for a forward-thinking Systems & Training Specialist (Management Analyst 3) to help lead the evolution of our statewide procurement technology and processes. This role sits at the intersection of technology, policy, training, and collaboration, helping procurement professionals across the state work smarter, faster, and more effectively.Procurement touches every part of government operations. In this role, you’ll help ensure our statewide procurement system is efficient, transparent, and built for the future. Your work will directly influence how agencies purchase goods and services that support communities across the state.System Administration Lead strategic initiatives supporting the statewide eProcurement system.Serve as the subject matter expert on procurement platforms and procurement technology solutions.Evaluate system performance and identify opportunities for modernization, expanded functionality, and improved user experience.Collaborate with agency leadership and procurement professionals to ensure the system meets operational needs across government.Training Development & Professional EducationDesign and deliver statewide training programs on procurement systems, policies, and procedures.Create engaging instructional materials including guides, presentations, online modules, and multimedia resources.Conduct training sessions to help procurement professionals build confidence and proficiency with procurement tools.Policy & Process OptimizationAssist with the review and modernization of procurement policies to ensure alignment with evolving technologies and regulatory requirements.Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen compliance.Maintain and update procurement manuals and guidance materials as laws and regulations evolve.Collaboration & PartnershipServe as a key liaison between vendors, state agency procurement staff, and Central Procurement.Work closely with agency partners, consultants, and subject matter experts to assess needs and develop effective solutions.Facilitate collaboration to ensure procurement systems and processes meet statewide operational goals.Benefits: At the State of Iowa, we are committed to your well-being.
