Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Housing Solutions of New York (HSNY) is looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join the team!

Who You Are While Driving Impact:

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator plays a critical role in optimizing recruitment efforts and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Talent function at Housing Solutions of New York (HSNY). By managing recruitment logistics and administrative workflows, this position ensures efficient hiring processes, high quality candidate experience, strengthening the effectiveness and consistency of Talent Acquisition across the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the go-to operational partner for TA, support scheduling, candidate communications, and system administration to maintain a streamlined, compliant, and scalable recruitment infrastructure.
  • Support the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager with a range of ad hoc Talent and HR projects by tackling challenges, helping move things along, keeping everyone updated.
  • Maintain job postings via job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, Paycom ATS.
  • Maintain the recruitment folder and supporting documents including job descriptions.
  • Support hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach efforts.
  • Partner with various teams: marketing, finance, and HR on new initiatives to enhance TA.
  • Ensure job postings are accurate and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling across multiple departments and leadership levels.
  • Maintain a low-level portfolio of 5-10 requisitions weekly.
  • Support with conducting reference checks.
  • Call and email follow up to applicants engaged in the hiring process.
  • Support the onboarding team with offer extension as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of candidate, employee, and organizational information, ensuring compliance with HSNY policies and applicable regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  • Associates degree minimum preferred, bachelor’s in human resources or human services a plus
  • 1-2 years’ experience in recruitment coordination, shelter environment, nonprofit, human services, or mission-driven organizations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Monday.com, Microsoft Office, ATS systems, various job boards
  • Willing to train the right candidate who is passionate about serving underserved communities and supporting the fight to end homelessness in New York City.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
