Talent Acquisition Specialist - SEIS

Location: Northampton, MA or Westborough, MA

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll play a key role in sourcing, hiring, and onboarding talented educators and staff who support students in specialized education settings.

In this role, you will work closely with SEIS leadership and the Human Resources team to recruit diverse, qualified candidates, support hiring initiatives, and help ensure programs are staffed with the professionals needed to support student success.

We are looking for someone who is organized, collaborative, and passionate about connecting great talent with meaningful work in education.

What You'll Do:

  • Recruit, screen, and hire qualified candidates for Special Education and Instructional Settings (SEIS) positions across Massachusetts
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of educators and staff for current and future openings
  • Coordinate interviews, reference checks, and hiring logistics with HR and hiring managers
  • Support workforce planning and assist with job description updates
  • Promote SEIS opportunities through recruitment initiatives, partnerships, and events
  • Ensure candidates complete required hiring documentation and compliance requirements
  • Support inclusive hiring practices and DEI recruitment initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or a similar role
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership and hiring teams
  • Knowledge of K–12 education systems preferred
  • Experience with recruiting systems such as Paycom preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
  • Possess knowledge of operations and procedures that relate to provision of K-12 general education
  • Demonstrated analytical and effective organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leadership and as part of a team
  • Integrity and a history of ethical decision-making
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral communication
  • Public speaking skills and successful workforce training experience
  • Ability to problem solve, including identifying the issue, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
  • Proven track record of being detail oriented, inquisitive and collaborative
  • Understanding of talent recruitment and hiring practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business management, HR concentration preferred.
  • Skilled in use of ADP for recruitment and hiring
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Excel software and financial systems
  • Skilled in the use of the following Google Apps: Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Calendar

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, focus on details and respond to demanding job duties with a positive mindset
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment
  • Able to view and work on a computer for long periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate and converse effectively in real time with persons from multiple backgrounds and cultures, which may include providing training and/or technical support
  • May occasionally need to lift and/or move packages up to 25 lbs
  • Travel required
  • Requires the ability to effectively handle job stress in the performance of duties

Terms of Employment:

  • Full time, year-round position
  • 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, additional hours as necessary
  • Full benefit package as outlined in the Personnel Policies
  • CES is a state employer and retirement is offered to full time employees through MA State Retirement and MA Teachers Retirement System.
