Job Overview

Support the People & Culture (Human Resources) recruiting function by delivering a thoughtful, efficient, and hospitality-driven candidate experience. The Recruiting Coordinator assists with candidate screening, communications, and administrative coordination related to hiring efforts. This role supports talent acquisition activities by conducting initial phone screens, coordinating interview logistics, managing requisitions, and maintaining accurate recruiting data and records. The position plays a key role in attracting and engaging talent in alignment with Sage Hospitality Group’s culture, brand standards, and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Post, manage, and close job requisitions in iCIMS, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with approved hiring needs.

  • Screen candidates and conduct initial phone interviews to assess qualifications, culture alignment, and hospitality mindset.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs and support effective hiring decisions.

  • Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications, ensuring a positive and consistent candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.

  • Ensure all candidates are properly dispositioned in the applicant tracking system and receive timely, professional communication during and after requisitions are closed.

  • Maintain recruiting materials, including brochures, applications, and hiring forms.

  • Assist with the coordination of job fairs, college recruiting efforts, open houses, and other talent attraction initiatives.

  • Conduct reference checks and coordinate background screenings through Checkr prior to hire.

  • Support recruiting reporting and documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable employment regulations.

  • Answer phones and respond to recruiting inquiries accurately, timely, and professionally.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, or equivalent education and experience preferred.

Experience

Minimum of one year of hotel, hospitality, recruiting, or People & Culture (Human Resources) related experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Basic PC proficiency, including applicant tracking systems and data entry, with a minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats. Bilingual fluency is a plus.

  • Strong hospitality orientation with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines.

  • Ability to conduct interviews, complete reference checks, respond to candidate inquiries, and manage phone communications.

  • Ability to review applications, resumes, and documentation accurately and confidentially.
