Position Summary
The Talent & Inclusion Business Partner helps drive inclusive hiring and a welcoming workplace culture. This role supports recruiting efforts to attract and hire high-quality talent aligned with our mission to empower others to strive for more.
They partner with hiring managers, HR, and leadership to ensure fair, equitable hiring practices and to support our DEI programs, initiatives, and training that strengthen inclusion across Financial Plus. Using data and best practices, they help embed DEI into every stage of the employee experience, from hiring to growth and retention.
Essential Functions & Primary Responsibilities

Support and execute on FPCU’s programs and initiatives that champion our DEI vision.

Assists with recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management in the department.

Identifies and helps to implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.

Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.

Screens applications and select qualified candidates.

Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.

Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers to ensure equity and non-bias hiring practices.

Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.

Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.

Input into the overall hiring strategy of the credit union to ensure our teams consist of a diverse set of qualified individuals.

Serve as subject matter expert (SME) to staff, offering knowledge and insight into best HR and DEI practices.

Run point on inclusion survey data and other feedback mechanisms, to measure progress and success.

Help identify processes and metrics to measure both progress and accountability related to DEI, engagement, and inclusivity. Metrics should encompass diversity in the organization, diversity in leadership, inclusivity and comfort, and equal/fair treatment of all employees regardless of Race, Color, Gender, Age, Sexual Orientation, Disability, Religion, and National Origin.

Participate in and/or lead various committees intended to enhance organizational culture including the DEI Council and various community efforts.

Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls, and should request legal interpretation as necessary. Must ensure subordinates are also compliant with such laws and regulations.

Requirements:
Education & Qualifications

At least an associate’s degree in HR, Business or similar related field.

Minimum two years of experience working in Human Resources, or as a hiring manager, or in training or recruitment

SHRM – CP or SCP certification desired.

Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) is a plus!

This position requires an understanding of basic computer skills including m365 suites.
