Role Summary
Skilled Tandoori Chef responsible for preparing authentic and modern Indian and Irani grill dishes using traditional tandoor techniques. Ensures high-quality food production, consistency, and adherence to hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes including kebabs, tikka, and grilled meats
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven efficiently and safely
- Prepare traditional breads such as:
- Tandoori roti
- Naan
- Paratha
- Other specialty breads
- Develop and execute modern Indian and Irani grill-style recipes
- Marinate meats and vegetables using authentic spice blends and techniques
- Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and portion control
- Monitor food stock and coordinate with kitchen staff for ingredient preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with food safety standards
- Train junior kitchen staff in tandoor cooking techniques

- Strong knowledge of:
- Traditional Indian tandoor cooking
- Modern Indian cuisine innovations
- Irani grill-style preparation methods
- Expertise in making paratha and tandoor breads
- Ability to handle high-temperature cooking equipment safely
- Good understanding of spices, marinades, and flavor balancing
- Time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef or similar role
- Experience working in Indian, Irani, or fusion restaurants preferred
- Demonstrated ability in both traditional and modern grill techniques
