Tanker Operator

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Support the Specialist team to ensure uncomplicated voyages.
• Liaise with brokers / counterparties / owners / charterers with regards to operational matters on ships and / or cargo.
• Anticipating problems and finding solutions to optimise performance.
• Checking and monitoring Freight/Hire/Comm invoices and payments, liaising with Accounts.
• Time bar monitoring.
• Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Experience:

• 3 years minimum experience as a Tanker Operator
• Experienced and confident within Tanker Operations, preferably with exposure to Chemicals, Fuels and other wet cargoes.
• Superb problem-solving skills and find enjoyment in finding solutions
• A passion for the shipping markets/a good understanding of the ship brokerage world and how it functions
• Fluency in English (written and verbal) with a personable and professional communication manner
• Competence using spreadsheets, such as Excel.
• Strong commercial and operational focus with excellent communication skills.
• Unwavering attention to detail.
