Job Summary

The Tax Accountant is responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to clients. The role includes preparing and filing VAT and Corporate Tax returns, advising clients on UAE tax regulations, maintaining tax records, and ensuring compliance with the regulations of the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file VAT returns for multiple clients in accordance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Assist clients with Corporate Tax registration, calculation, and filing.
• Maintain proper tax documentation and compliance records for client portfolios.
• Handle FTA portal submissions including VAT returns, amendments, and refund applications through the Federal Tax Authority portal.
• Conduct VAT reviews and tax health checks for clients.
• Assist in tax planning and advisory services for businesses.
• Respond to tax queries and notices from the Federal Tax Authority.
• Support clients during tax audits and assessments.
• Monitor updates in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws and advise clients accordingly.
• Coordinate with clients to collect financial data and documentation required for tax filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or audit.
• Experience working in tax consultancy, audit firms, or accounting firms preferred.
• Hands-on experience with UAE VAT compliance and Corporate Tax regulations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT Law and Corporate Tax Law.
• Experience with FTA portal and tax filings.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent client communication and advisory skills.
