position summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Compliance Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing multi-state tax compliance related to payroll, sales and use tax, and regulatory filings. This role ensures that our organization remains compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will manage payroll tax reporting, state registrations, tax portal maintenance, and sales/use tax filings while supporting operations and partnering with Human Resources, third-party payroll providers, and internal payroll specialists.
This position will have the flexibility to work from Merjent's Minneapolis, Minnesota office or remotely from a home office in the Twin Cities or surrounding area. The anticipated annual salary for this position is between $83,500 and $97,400 annually, depending upon the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. This position is also bonus eligible.
