Timings:

Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Saturday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Salary Range: PKR 35,000 – 50,000 (Based on experience & expertise)

Job Overview

Scaleup Connect is hiring for one of our clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax & Compliance Intern to manage taxation activities in accordance with Pakistan tax laws and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tax preparation, filing, compliance, and reconciliations while ensuring adherence to FBR and other regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.).
• Handle Withholding Tax (WHT) and Sales Tax calculations, submissions, and payments.
• Accurately calculate tax liabilities and ensure timely compliance.
• Reconcile tax-related accounts with the general ledger.
• Support tax-related matters in annual financial statement preparation.
• Maintain organized records of tax documents and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Income Tax Ordinance, Sales Tax Act, FBR regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities when required.
• Record journal entries and tax-related transactions in accounting software.
• Stay updated with changes in taxation laws and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6 months - 1 year of relevant taxation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistan tax laws (Federal & Provincial).
• Familiarity with FBR compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Basic knowledge of digital invoicing systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Pay: Rs35,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
