Position Summary
Responsible for supporting tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulations. The role involves preparation of tax returns, assisting in audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting corporate and indirect tax obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax computations, filings, and returns in compliance with local tax regulations
- Assist in Corporate Tax and/or VAT registration, deregistration, and periodic submissions
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns and accurate payment of tax liabilities
- Maintain proper tax documentation, records, and supporting schedules
- Assist in handling tax audits, assessments, and queries from tax authorities
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization
- Support tax planning initiatives to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Coordinate with internal finance teams and external consultants where required
- Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements
- Assist in preparing tax reports for management review
Qualifications & Skills
- Certified Tax (CT) Certificate or equivalent tax qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Practical experience in taxation, compliance, or finance roles
- Knowledge of Corporate Tax, VAT, and basic regulatory compliance
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret tax laws and apply them accurately
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance-related roles
- Exposure to corporate tax compliance and/or indirect taxation preferred
