Tax Filing Expert - US

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Return Preparer to support US tax operations. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing federal and state tax returns while ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare US federal and state income tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, 1120S) under the supervision of a US-licensed preparer
• Review and organize client-provided financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, and bank statements
• Perform data entry and bookkeeping tasks related to tax preparation
• Identify eligible deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with the US-based team to resolve missing information or documentation queries
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in tax preparation software
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, US tax laws, and internal policies
• Handle sensitive client information with strict confidentiality

Requirements:

• Valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) is preferred
• Basic understanding of US tax laws and filing requirements
• Experience with tax preparation software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good communication skills, especially in a remote team environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure during tax season

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enrolled Agent (EA), CPA, or relevant certification (preferred but not mandatory)
• Prior experience in US tax preparation or accounting
