UK Accountant (SATR Specialist)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced UK Accountant – Self Assessment Specialist with strong expertise in preparing and filing Self Assessment Tax Returns (SATR) for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and company directors in the UK.

The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of HM Revenue & Customs regulations, UK personal taxation rules, and compliance requirements, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file Self Assessment Tax Returns (SATR) in compliance with HMRC regulations
• Manage tax computations for:
• Sole traders
• Partnerships
• Company directors
• High-net-worth individuals
• Calculate income tax, capital gains tax, dividends, rental income, and other taxable income
• Review client financial records and identify allowable expenses and reliefs
• Ensure timely submission before HMRC deadlines
• Handle HMRC queries, notices, and compliance checks
• Provide basic tax advisory support to clients
• Maintain accurate documentation and client records
• Stay updated with changes in UK tax laws and regulations

Qualification

• ACCA / ACA part-qualified or qualified (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in UK taxation
• Proven experience preparing and filing Self Assessment Tax Returns
• Experience dealing directly with HMRC correspondence

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of UK Personal Tax rules
• Practical knowledge of:
• Income Tax
• Capital Gains Tax
• Dividend Tax
• Rental Property Tax
• CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) (preferred)
• Experience with UK accounting/tax software (e.g., TaxCalc, IRIS, QuickBooks, Xero)
• Strong Excel skills

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs130,000.00 per month
