Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team to assist with tax preparations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing individual tax returns, business tax returns, and nonprofit 990 tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual tax returns (1040 & SCH C), business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065), and nonprofit 990 tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Analyze financial information to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner.
• Provide exceptional client service, including responding to inquiries and resolving tax-related issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless workflow and client satisfaction.
• Provide Tax advice
• Tax planning
• Tax calculations (estimated tax payments)
• Filing tax extensions
• Collaborate with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities and develop effective tax strategies.
• This is a virtual, customer-facing role; you will be using our client portal, Tax dome to interact with customers and assist in tax preparation
• Create loom videos of tax return reviews for clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual, preparing federal and state business tax returns, and nonprofit tax returns.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software: QuickBooks Online, Intuit ProSeries
• Bookkeeping experience with books for tax preparation is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must reside in San Antonio, TX or be willing to relocate

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday - 8am-5pm
• Weekends as needed - must be flexible
• Full time - 40 hours per week (will require extra hours during busy season)
