Tax Manager

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services. This person must have a CPA license with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Salary - $80k - $150k depending on relevant experience. There is plenty of room for advancement and Partnership opportunity in the near future for the correct candidate. We are a full service accounting firm that seeks to provide the utmost customer service and expertise to our clients while maintaining integrity and working together as a team in all aspects. Selling or bringing in additional work is not currently needed in this role. Our team works hard during tax season and has much more flexible and laid back approach for the remainder of the year.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within specified timeframes
• Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and technical expertise and small business support
• Keep businesses and individuals compliant with various local, state and federal tax regulations
• Providing innovative tax planning while reviewing business and individual income tax returns
• Mentor, supervise and delegate duties to staff

Functional/Technical Skills:

• Be a team player – willing to roll their sleeves up and prepare tax returns in the rare occasion that it is necessary
• Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus but not necessary, knowledge of debits and credits however, is a must.
• Financial statement experience is a plus but the tax aspect is most important for this role
• Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
• Strong leadership and personnel management skills
