Tax Officer

S.M.J International Industries (Pvt) Ltd – Alaska Batteries is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality batteries, committed to delivering excellence and innovation. We are seeking a skilled Tax Officer to join our team and ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.).
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant tax laws, rules, and filing deadlines.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audits.
• Assist in tax planning, forecasting, and minimizing tax liabilities.
• Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and consultants.
• Keep updated with changes in tax regulations and apply them effectively.
• Provide tax-related analysis and reports to management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and reporting.
• Strong understanding of Pakistan tax laws, filing processes, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/tax software.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
