Job Overview

Scaleup is hiring a Taxation Officer for one of its clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, preparing and filing tax returns, and ensuring adherence to Pakistan’s taxation laws, including FBR regulations, Income Tax Ordinance, and Sales Tax laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax)
• Calculate, file, and ensure timely payment of Withholding Tax (WHT) and Sales Tax
• Accurately calculate tax liabilities and meet statutory deadlines
• Reconcile tax accounts with the general ledger
• Assist with tax-related matters in annual financial statements
• Maintain proper tax records, documentation, and reconciliations
• Ensure full compliance with Income Tax Ordinance, Sales Tax Act, and FBR requirements
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities when required
• Record tax-related journal entries and adjustments in accounting software

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Pakistan’s taxation laws and regulations
• Knowledge of Federal and Provincial tax systems
• Hands-on experience with FBR compliance and filings
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Basic knowledge of Digital Invoicing

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in taxation or accounting

Salary

• PKR 50,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Pay: Up to Rs50,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
