Job Summary

The Taxi Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating taxi services by receiving ride requests, assigning drivers, and ensuring timely, efficient transportation for customers. This role requires strong English communication, organization, and multitasking skills to manage drivers and customer needs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer ride requests via phone, radio, or dispatch software
• Assign drivers to trips based on location, availability, and priority
• Monitor driver status and vehicle locations to ensure efficient routing
• Communicate clearly with drivers regarding pick-ups, drop-offs, and schedule changes
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs and records of trips and driver activity
• Respond quickly to emergencies, delays, or service disruptions
• Coordinate shift changes and provide support to drivers as needed
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and local transportation regulations

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor or equivalent
• Previous dispatch, customer service, or transportation experience preferred
• Strong English verbal communication and listening skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with dispatch or GPS systems (preferred)
• Good knowledge of USA states, routes, and landmarks
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Work Environment

• Office-based or dispatch center setting
• Fast-paced environment requiring constant communication
• 5 Days per week 3 days work from home
