Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Teacher Assistant (Cleaner) to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate must be responsible, child-friendly, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene within the nursery environment. This role includes supporting teachers in caring for children and ensuring all classrooms and facilities remain clean, organized, and safe throughout the day.

Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Hygiene Duties

• Maintain full cleanliness of classrooms, toilets, hallways, activity areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Clean and disinfect furniture, floors, toys, learning materials, and play areas daily.
• Ensure proper sanitization in accordance with nursery health and safety standards.
• Manage waste disposal and ensure bins are emptied and cleaned regularly.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning activity areas before and after children’s use.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pantry area and staff facilities (if assigned).

Child Support Duties

• Assist teachers with supervising children during class, playtime, and transitions.
• Support children during meal/snack time (opening food boxes, cleaning spills, etc.).
• Help children wash hands and maintain personal hygiene when needed.
• Ensure children move safely around the nursery (corridors, playgrounds, restrooms).
• Provide a caring, patient, and positive attitude toward all children.

General Duties

• Support teachers in preparing learning materials, arranging furniture, and organizing supplies.
• Report any safety issues, hazards, or maintenance needs to the branch manager.
• Adhere strictly to nursery policies, safety procedures, and hygiene guidelines.
• Maintain respectful and professional communication with staff, children, and parents.
• Cooperate fully during inspections, events, or emergency drills.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the management related to cleanliness and child support.

Requirements

• Female candidate aged 25–40 years.
• Previous experience in nurseries, schools, or childcare environments is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of child safety and hygiene practices.
• Physically able to perform cleaning tasks and assist with children’s needs.
• Honest, responsible, reliable, and able to work under supervision.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on time.
• Positive attitude and passion for working with children.
