Teacher Assistant for Group Piano Classes

Our warm, welcoming and encouraging piano studio is looking to grow! We are seeking an assistant teacher to assist with our group piano classes. Paid training provided. Your enthusiasm for music and ability to create a positive learning environment are just as important as your skill on the instrument! This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain classroom experience, develop teaching skills, and contribute to the growth of beginning musicians.

Responsibilities
Assist lead instructors in preparing lesson materials and setting up classroom spaces for group piano sessions. Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a respectful, focused environment conducive to learning. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes creativity and enjoyment of music. Other tasks around the studio such as organizing, cleaning, marking attendance, communicating with clients and customers, and ringing up sales.

Skills
Strong background or interest in music education with at least 3 years of personal piano lesson experience. Experience in teaching or tutoring children and young learners in a classroom or group setting would be great! Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive student interactions.

Will consider both intermediate/advanced high school students and college students currently enrolled in a music degree program.

Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour
