Job Summary

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to foster comprehensive childhood development.
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote active learning, creativity, and social-emotional growth in preschool and toddler-aged children.
  • Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring safety, positive behavior management, and smooth classroom management routines.
  • Provide specialized support for children requiring early intervention or special education services, tailoring activities to meet individual needs.
  • Support classroom activities with hands-on childcare, including toddler care routines, diapering, feeding, and nurturing routines aligned with child welfare standards.
  • Utilize standardized testing tools and assessment techniques to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to communicate children's progress and implement individualized educational plans when necessary.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and working with children in daycare or preschool settings.
  • Proficiency in working with students with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education techniques, standardized testing procedures, and teaching physical education activities.
  • Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Prior classroom experience in private schools or daycare centers is highly desirable.
